Getting Involved

Consultation and communication is an important part of our relationship with residents. It allows us to hear your views about the services that we provide. We can then use those views in the decision making process.

There are many ways that residents can get involved to influence the decisions which affect the services they receive.

1. Residents Association and Monitoring Board (RAMB)

The Residents Association and Monitoring Board has been set up to enable residents to monitor the PFI contract and to champion local issues and concerns. The board meets monthly on the last Wednesday of the month.

If you would like more information please contact or the local housing office.

2. The Happenings

The Happenings are a community development board for the Myatts Field North estate.  It currently manages the Bramah Green Community Centre and hosts a number of events for the community.  The board will also take on the management of the community centre after it is built.

If you would like more information please contact or the local housing office.

3. Street League

You will be pleased to know that Street League are recruiting for the next Academy programme which starts on Monday 11th May 2015.

Download the flyer with information regarding the Street League Academy programme.

Download the case study of a participant who is now in FT employment and has sustained employment for more than 3 months.

On the previous Academy programme we started with x29 participants and x24 successfully graduated. All of the Academy graduates will now receive aftercare support to help them progress into employment, education or training. This week x8 people have started work placements with Madame Tussauds, Premier Inn and TM Lewin. For people who are not on work placement, they will be attending the Street League Job Club at Myatt’s Field Community Centre which runs every Wednesday from 2-4pm and is open to all 16-24 year olds who are looking for work and need extra support with CV writing, application form filling, interview techniques etc.

Street League staff are more than happy to come in and speak to groups of young people about potentially enrolling onto the next Street League Academy programme.
